Awaiting baby sister

Here are some of the things Oliver says/does re: the upcoming arrival of his baby sister:

• Says he wants to take her down the slide once she is out of my belly. 
• When asked what we should name her, his two replies have been "pillow" and "crayon". 
• Constantly wants to know how big/small she is going to be. 
• Gives her (my belly) kisses and hugs every night before bed. 
• Finally felt her move for the first time the other night.  He thought it was "great".  
• Sometimes tries to talk to her through my belly button. 
• Has said he is saving food for her.  
• Wants her to sleep in his bed when she gets here.  

I think being a brother is going to suit him nicely.

Weekend in Spokane

This weekend we went to Spokane to meet up with Charlotte and Darren. We lucked out and had pretty nice weather. It was fun to visit some of our favorite spots, restaurants and shops. Some things have changed and a lot is still the same. This might be shocking to hear my say this, but I miss that town. Spokane really has it going on in many ways.A better prepared family at the hotel pool let Oliver play with their water pump. Guess who wants one now?
